veepick is a browser extension that lets interior designers and their teams add products from online shops to their shopping lists in veedeck. Below we explain what data the extension reads, stores and sends, and what it never collects.
Veepick is a browser extension that lets interior designers and their teams add products from online shops to their shopping lists in veedeck.com. Its single purpose is to capture product details from the page you are viewing and save them to your own veedeck account. This policy explains what data the extension reads, stores and sends, and what it never collects.
Veepick does nothing until you activate it on a page by clicking the extension icon or choosing "Pick image for veepick" from the right-click menu. It does not run in the background on the websites you visit and it does not read pages on which you have not activated it.
When you activate Veepick on a product page, it reads the following product details from that page only:
These details come from the product information published on the page: structured data (JSON-LD, microdata, Open Graph tags), the product specification table and, for shops built on Shopify, the public product data file of the same shop. All of this is processed locally in your browser. Veepick does not read form fields, cookies, passwords, account data or any other content of the page.
Data leaves your browser only when you click "Add to list". Before that, the extension shows you every field that will be sent, and you can edit or delete any of them. This notice is also displayed in the extension panel, directly above the button.
After you click the button, the fields listed in Section 3, together with the selected list, section, quantity, category and your note, are sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to the veedeck API (https://app.veedeck.com) and saved in your veedeck account. Your API key is sent with each request to identify your account. The extension sends data only to this address. Data saved in veedeck is subject to veedeck's Privacy Policy.
To show product images in the panel, the extension downloads the image from the image address published by the shop (without cookies).
The extension stores the following data locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local). It is not sent anywhere else.
You can delete this data at any time by disconnecting your account in the extension settings or by removing the extension.
The use of information received from Veepick complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the user-facing feature described above. People at veedeck do not read this data, except when you ask us to (for example in a support request), when it is necessary for security purposes, or when required by law.
In Firefox, the data the extension sends is declared in the add-on according to the Mozilla Add-on Policies: website content (the product details listed in Section 3), browsing activity (only the address of the product page you add) and authentication information (your veedeck API key, sent only to app.veedeck.com). Firefox shows these categories before installation.
The extension does not request access to all websites.
Veepick is a professional tool intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If we change how the extension handles data, we will update this page and its "Last updated" date before the change takes effect. We will also inform you about the change in the extension panel and in the veedeck app. If a change requires your consent, the extension will ask for it before collecting any new data.
